Upon approach to DfMS for any design projects (aforementioned), a design brief is needed which will outline the requirements of the client. This is important in order to meet the expectations of the client as close as possible, and developing the alpha design or prelimenary design; the design concept.
If the initial consultation goes accordingly and the client wants to proceed and / or DfMS wishes to undertake the project, a 50% deposit is required before project commencement. Payment can be made in various forms however, payment must clear before project commences. To learn the payment methods accepted by DfMS, please go to the Payment Methods page.
1. Initial design brief is obtained by DfMS
2. Payment (deposit) is made before design commences
3. A date is set for DfMS and client to meet for the provision of progress reports
4. DfMS commences design work
1st INTERIM
5. Interim meeting; work produced by DfMS so far is shown to client
5. Client approves work so far
6. A final deadline date is set for DfMS and client to meet for the provision of deliverables
7. DfMS makes amendments and/or continues with design work to client specifications
2nd INTERIM
8. Deadline; final design is shown to client
9. Client approves final designs
10. Balance of payment is made to DfMS
11. Final design is released to client
12. Business is concluded
NB: Specifications outlined in the initial design brief is factored into design cost and any changes to this initial brief during the design life-cycle will subsequently affect the final cost and possibly the delivery and /or deadline date. It is for this reason that the design brief needs to be as accurate as possible and all requisite design notes are submitted to DfMS prior to DfMS commencing design works.
It is important that deadlines and scheduled meetings are adhered to in order to allow for a smoother project run.

Payments must be made on agreed dates, typically at project start and project end.
With regards to all types of print jobs commissioned to DfMS, 100% of the total amount is required for the print works including any incurring charges such as delivery charges.
All print specifications are required in writing by DfMS. This is to ensure no mistakes occur or miscommunications that may result in printing errors.
