This section consists of Logo Design Processes for the various logos DfMS has chosen to display as a sample; the Logo Design Process is the procedure DfMS went through to arrive at the Omega Design of a particular logo. At times, the Logo Design Process will be referred to as the LDP. Not all logos designed are guaranteed a feature in the portfolio as DfMS reserves the right to decide which ones are featured.

Each logo has an LDP and an article has been written to demonstrate the journey from the start to finish of each logo. Each article has a feedback form giving readers the opportunity to leave comments.

The LDP can be particularly useful as it gives you the opportunity as a viewer, a design student, or indeed a budding logo designer who's just starting out (and of course a potential client) to see how a logo can be produced, with techniques and shown processes. These articles will not include software walk-throughs because there's no fun in giving it all away; imagination is what makes it all possible and the level of proficiency in any particular software can only add to that, not create it.

The process of designing each logo will vary due to the nature of each design project so the documentation will vary; in short, the LDP isn't straightforward however, DfMS makes every effort to comply with the LDP guide. This involves understanding the company the design is for, understanding the customers of the company, the expectations (if any) of the client and the likely use of the design. The guide is more extensive than this but this covers the basics.
