Web Design and Development

The web design approach DfMS employs are thorough and aesthetically pleasing which means your website will look and act in the way it should and have the desired effect on your site visitors in the way you expect because we employ a school of thought that adheres to design heuristics which have been tried and tested for decades; the 'Jakob Nielsen's Ten Usability Heuristics' approach.

The web development approach DfMS uses are functional to your business which means you will enjoy an excellent smooth-running business even if your business is not primarily an online affair because DfMS will sit with you to understand your exact needs and nature of your business.

DfMS places extreme importance on current methodologies and standards set by the World Wide Web Consortium; more commonly known as The W3C School. To keep clients satisfied, DfMS ensures that standards such as Web2.0 / Web3.0 and Accessibility Guidelines are adhered to and Cross Browser Compatibility issues are dealt with before deployment.

Focus is placed on the actual quality of design of all the sites created. With a background in Information Architecture and User Centred Design, DfMS engages in a number of processes that ensure a smooth web interface design life cycle.

Initially, a consultation with the client will take place as part of the information gathering process. This will take the form of an informal meeting which would involve a front-end client-facing situation; a chat if you like. This will ensure that all the jargon is taken out to disambiguate things so that what is said is translated into web design and subsequently, into a website that is to your suiting.

Part of the interface design life cycle involves DfMS taking what came out of the initial consultation and sketching preliminary designs in low fidelity and then translated into high fidelity designs and subsequently wireframes which would match the storyboard of your website. From this, a prototype would be created and a second consultation would take place where you as the client has an opportunity to straighten out any discrepancies (should there be any) and perhaps finalise colour themes.

After the prototype has been approved or new directions have been set, the work is carried out and if matched to the client's needs, several extensive tests are carried out on the site in modular form and holistically once ready to ensure the website behaves as it should. After this stage, the client and a test population (if available) is invited to test and manipulate the site rigorously to ensure it acts as expected. If passed, this would normally lead to deployment and a conclusion of the site design.

It is important to note that the number of consultations can vary and sometimes, many informal consultations may also take place. This depends on individual web projects and the complexity of the site itself. Sometimes, site requirements change slightly or are refined which can affect the whole project. It is also important to note that throughout the whole interface design life cycle, from initial meet between DfMS and the client, right through to final deployment, the design requirements are frequently scrutinized.

Email Marketing

Email marketing is a very powerful customer relationship and customer acquisition tool available to marketers. DfMS offers everything from email content design to campaign production and deployment.

With a strategically constructed email campaign, you can drum up more sales or more recognition and mind-stamping in your customers. You and your organisation can enjoy the expertise of DfMS who can offer one-off campaigns, regular campaigns (of the same kind) in any frequency or continual campaign runs with differing content with each run.

Email campaigns can be used for any number of reasons; to be remembered, to bring special offers to your customers' attention or even to give information that is relevant to your customers. Email campaigns can also be used to highlight new information on your website complete with a link within the body of the email to the pertinent area on your website.

Promoters of all kinds enjoy email marketing through the distribution of email flyers or more colloquially known, 'e-flyers'; e-flyers are potentially the same as glossy, highly graphical printed paper flyers that achieve the same result and effect except it is cheaper and easier to manage and distribute. E-flyers save you money on printing costs and the stress of distributing them. E-flyers are also more specific when it comes to who receives them because it is not randomly distributed. All that is needed except the content itself is the recipients' email addresses. This can be achieved in many different ways; via your website through a simple form or simply getting the customers you encounter to fill out their name and email on a clip board.

Promotional / Uniform T-Shirts

If your business regularly comes in contact with the general public (or anybody for that matter) either through direct business dealings or at conventions, DfMS can provide you and your staff with uniforms or promotional T-shirts.

Your company logo can be placed on any suitable garment such as a blank cotton T-Shirt (many colours available) along with some text or slogan in the colour you prefer. Your company contact details such as a phone number, email addess or web address can be placed on the T-Shirt as well.

This is particularly useful if you have business premises where staff interact with the public because it gives a professional look to your business.

If you attend conventions for the industry your business operates in or trade fairs, it is particularly useful to wear t-shirts with your logo and details of your company as this helps people to commit your company to memory and to easily identify you in the crowd of businesses.

The typical method DfMS provides promotional t-shirts is with vynil print which has been prepared by Cad-Cutting devices. This means your logo will have to be supplied in vector format which are Adobe Illustrator (*.ai) or Encapsulated PostScript (*.eps).

The other method of garment printing we provide is transfers on either light or dark coloured garments. This method is where your image, logo and/or text can be printed on to garments with full colour graphics and gradients from the following formats; *.jpg, *.ai, *.psd, *.tiff, *.eps. For best results, always submit images in as highest a resolution as possible.

Email Hosting

Electronically communicating with colleagues or customers alike is important for any modern business that thrives on the exchange of data of any kind. It is essential that when communicating via email, the email addresses you're sending from has a strong link with your business. Your business does not even need to have a website hosted anywhere.

You too can enjoy an email address that looks like this: yourname@yourcompany.com without the expense of setting up a whole website (with hosting) for you and your staff.

Choose from the following:

Option 1 - 50 megabytes of online space = £10.99 per year

Option 2 - 150 megabytes of online space = £12.99 per year

Option 3 - 500 megabytes of online space = £15.99 per year

Having an email address with your name under your company domain appears very professional to your recipients as opposed to using the free web hosted email account.

You can set it up on any email client such as Microsoft Outlook or other clients available with some simple configuration.

It is also accessible via Webmail anywhere in the world; all you need is internet connection and a browser.

Most useful if you're a small business as this is a compact service.
